The Ironmaster Crunch Attachment is a must have for your home gym as you can work your core AND it’s perfect for decline bench work. Whether you are new to training, or have been training in gyms for decades, you’ll soon spot the quality of our materials and craftsmanship. Like all Ironmaster products, this is one bit of gym kit you’ll own forever.
“Solid, like all Ironmaster products. Pretty much mandatory for the Super Bench as you will use this attachment for not only abs, but decline presses, flyes, etc.” – Wayne C.
Why choose this Decline / Crunch Attachment?
If you want to add more variety to your training, the Ironmaster FID (flat, incline, decline) Super Bench lets you take full advantage of the crunch attachment by allowing multiple angles for ab and decline presses.
Flexible positions
Lots of FID benches come with crunch attachments, but none are as adjustable as ours when teamed with the Super Bench. Not only does the attachment quickly fix to the Super Bench spine in various positions, you can adjust the angle of the bench from tame (just past level) to nearly vertical.
Ergonomic leg position
You need to get your set up spot on before you do your first rep. Our ergonomic leg position locks you securely in place with a slightly elevated knee position, so it’s easy on your lower back. This makes things more comfortable and improves your entire session.
Roller pads feel “just right”
There’s nothing more annoying than roller pads that are too solid or riddled with ridges. The best pads are durable, but mould to your body over time so you feel at one with your kit. The addition of our Vinyl Roller Covers makes everything wipe clean – useful if you’re not the only one who uses your home gym.
Buy it once, buy it right
The quality of our design, durability and build means you will never have to purchase a crunch attachment again. This isn’t some cheap crunch attachment for a home bench. This is exactly what you need to do effective ab training in your home gym. With this single piece of equipment you can do a range of exercises in your home gym to challenge both your core and chest, all for a bargain price.
“Great Attachment. Does exactly what is suppose to. Very stable and you can do tons of different angles to change the difficulty.” – KMC

Exercises using the Crunch Attachment

Crunch
Target your abdominals from multiple angles. Adjust the angle of the Super Bench to your required difficulty, hold on to the single handle, and mount the Super Bench. Lay flat on the bench with your hands either behind your head, across your chest, or holding a weight plate. Push the small of your back down and roll your shoulders off the bench to isolate your abs.
Return to the original position and repeat.

Reverse Ab Crunch
Angle the Super Bench as required, lay back on the bench with your arms above your head holding onto the roller pads. Bring your knees towards your torso and lift your hips off the bench. In a controlled manner return to the starting position and repeat.

Decline Barbell Press
Train your pecs by setting the Super Bench to the desired angle. Use the single handle to get into position. Use a medium width grip that forms a 90 degree angle between the upper arms and the forearms when the barbell is at your chest. Un-rack the bar and hold it directly over you with straight arms. Lower the bar slowly until it touches your lower chest then press the bar back up, focusing on your chest and contracting your pecs. When your set is completed, re-rack the bar.

Decline Dumbbell Press
Train your chest by doing the above exercise, but with dumbbells. Be careful not to drop the dumbbells by your side when you finish your set, as this can hurt your shoulders. The Ironmaster Dumbbell Spotting Stand is perfect for helping you start and finish this exercise.

Decline Dumbbell Fly
Work your chest from a different angle by doing dumbbell flys. Get into position as above, holding dumbbells with your palms facing each other when your arms are fully extended. Slightly bend your elbows and lower your arms to the sides in a wide arc until you feel a stretch in your chest. This movement should be from the shoulder, not the arms. Squeeze the chest to return your arms to the starting position, keeping a slight bend in your arms.
“I have the Super Bench with a few other attachments and the crunch sit up/decline is my favourite! It is extremely sturdy and easily attaches to the bench with its slide and lock operation. I use this attachment for crunches, decline presses, stretching, and leg raises.” – R Brooks

The crunch sit up attachment works well, it attaches quickly and easily. The bench with the attachment is still very stable no matter what position.

I love this attachment. It is well worth the purchase, and I would not be as happy w/ my bench without it. Depending on the angle of the bench when you use the attachment, there is a very slight wiggle to it but not enough to make me worry about it or not love it. Furthermore, the padding is very comfortable on my shins as it holds me in.Furthermore, it is easy to attach and detach. I love this equipment and recommend it highly…keeping in mind, I work out 6-7 days a week often 2x daily. I go to a local gym but also have a home gym and this bench and attachment is quality equipment at a reasonable price.

This attachment is bomb! With the Ironmaster Super Bench! You can be almost 90 degree angle to do ninja crunches! Amazing for a bench. One piece of advice though if you do try to do an almost completely vertical crunch make sure to stabilize the bench with some heavy weights on the foot of the bench at the legs side of the bench as it’s not designed to do almost vertical although it’s doable without weights to stabilize it you will just need to go slow so that it doesn’t lift up. Any other angle besides that it’s very stable without anything holding it down and I’m very happy with it. You can also purchase the leather like covers for the foam at the Ironmaster website for added protection for you and your investment. Get your six pack on! Yeah buddy!

This attachment is my 1st purchase for the super bench. It goes on and off very easily. It feels very secure, i really enjoy using it. Love the bench as well. Great products even for commercial use.

Solid lock up and quality feel of anything you’d find in a nice commercial gym piece. I’m very pleased with it and highly recommend it.

Solid, like all IronMaster products. Pretty much mandatory for the Superbench as you will use this attachment for not only abs, but decline presses, flyes, etc. On and off in about ten seconds, and very firm when in place due to double securing: a spring pin, and a screw knob

This was the first attachment i bought and i think it was a good call. Having decline press @ home was one ofthe main reasons I bought the ironmaster and this attachment works well. I’m 6’2 and it holds me well even when inserted to the first hole. the vertical bar in the middle is clutch for getting on and off the thing without contorting yourself. Haven’t done much ab work on it yet, but for decline bench press its great

This is the most useful of the attachments for the Super Bench. Not recommended for hanging leg raises, but does well for situps and decline presses, flys, etc.

I love the ironmaster bench setup, it is solid quality. The crunch attachment is solid, and easy to add/remove. I use it every for incline bench/situps, it’s expensive but if you like solid, well designed equipment, just like the bench this attachment will satisfy.

I bought this attachment for my superbench and love it. This attachment easily attaches to your Ironmaster Super Bench and is very adjustable to fit your body size. The attachment has a chrome finish with dense neoprene padding and a beneficial handle. This attachment like all Iron master products is solid, well built and will last forever.

My favourite attachment. I have the Ironmaster Superbench and several attachments. My favorite attachment is the crunch situp/decline. It is perfect for crunches, leg raises and for just hanging on the bench to stretch. It, along with the super bench, is very, very sturdy. It easily and snugly attaches to the bench. Just slide it in, and lock it into place within seconds. I feel the attachment and bench are near-commercial quality that should give me decades of use.

One improvement that I could suggest is that the locking holes be drill on both sides, this would allow flipping the attachment upside down thus giving more flexibility to sit-up variations. I find the attachment works well for me, a male. 6’3″ 13.5 stone.

Great Attachment. Does exactly what is suppose to, but this attachment and the ironmaster bench are very good items. Very stable and you can do tons of different angles to change the difficulty.

I love the Ironmaster Super Bench, and I love it even more with this attachment. I got this mainly so I could do decline bench presses. I used to do my ab workouts on the floor. Now that I have this bench, I use the bench with this attachment. It’s a bit awkward at first going from the floor to a bench, but it really gives you a great workout. I was challenged by the stuff I can do with ease on the floor. I love this bench and attachment. If you have an Ironmaster super bench, then you need this attachment. It’s solid, nice looking, fits well, is comfortable, and seems pretty durable so far – I’ve only had it for about a month and use it 5 days a week. If you want to do declines, you need it. It’s definitely worth it since you can use it for it’s main function also (abs).

This was included in the combo package. Awesome – just awesome! Great Christmas present from the wife as we’d just cancelled our gym memberships to save a few pennies. This bench is going to help in my 2012 mission to reach the fittest condition I have ever been in by July. It’s solid, comfy and so well engineered. Looking forward to adding a few more attachments when my birthday comes around in Feb. Buy one… you won’t regret it!

Another great Ironmaster attachment: attaches to the bench in seconds and is solid as a rock. Allows you to perfom sit-ups at various angles and it never feels like you are going to slip off the bench. A must have.

I use the crunch attachment loads for steep decline chest presses and almost vertical crunches. I’m over 6ft and my training partner is a lot shorter – so having the attachment easily adjustable helps!
