IronmasterUK spotting stand demo

Dumbbell work is great for getting range of motion in your upper body training, but it comes with one big downfall… getting the dumbbells up in the first place. At best, there’s the pain of resting heavy dumbbells on sore quads. At worst, you risk wasting precious energy before you’ve even started your first rep.

The Ironmaster Dumbbell Spotting Stand is an innovative solution to the problem of training alone when you’re doing heavy dumbbell work.

They help keep your workouts safe without compromising the depth of your reps.

You’ll never have to drop down to a weight you know won’t truly challenge you. These spotting stands let you lift heavier weights so you can keep progressing even as you reach the end of the rack.

Made from high quality steel and built to be robust and durable, the Ironmaster Spotting Stand is designed for your Ironmaster Quick-Lock Adjustable Dumbbells, but can hold any conventional dumbbells upright.

Whatever weight of dumbbells you work with, these spotting stands will free you up to lift heavier and push harder without wasting energy on getting them into place.

Why use a Dumbbell Spotting Stand?

IronmasterUK Spotting stands with other dumbbell examples

One of the downsides of training with dumbbells in a home gym is getting them off the floor and into place for the first rep. You can see how this spotting stand will erase that challenge. It’s exactly like having a human spotter there to pass you your dumbbells (except you know it’ll be 100% reliable every time).

Highly Adjustable

Adjustable saddles so your dumbbells are always within reach, whether you are in a flat, decline, incline, or upright position. The saddles can be raised or lowered from 54.5cm to 95cm with the locking pull pins and they can even swivel up to 45 degrees. Ironmaster added welded handles on the rear of the saddles to make them quick and easy to adjust.

Heavy Duty

These Dumbbell Spotting Stands can easily accommodate up to 59 kgs per side. We’ve got pro bodybuilders on our customer list, which should tell you something! We use high quality materials for kit that will last you a lifetime.

Versatile

If you add the Barbell Adaptor to the Spotting Stand (purchased separately), you can use the Ironmaster Barbell (or a standard barbell) for pressing, pushing, and overhead press work. No home gym should be held back by its equipment. You should be focusing on your workout and not worrying about your kit. No stress, no fuss, no frustration.

“When I moved I had to start working out by myself, so I got the spotting stand. This is one solid piece of kit! It was just what I needed so that I can go HEAVY. No more bouncing weights off my knee or dropping them when I can’t finish my set. The stand is adjustable in height and my Super Bench fits perfectly between the uprights.” – C Herring

Exercise using the Ironmaster Dumbbell Spotting Stand

Ready to commit to the heavy lifting life? The Ironmaster Spotting Stand will give you the support you need.

IronmasterUK Chest

Dumbbell Press

Train your chest by setting the Super Bench to the desired angle after dropping it into the Spotting Stand yoke. Instead of using your legs to help get the dumbbells into position, lift the dumbbells off the Spotting Stand so they’re to the sides of the chest and a 90 degree angle is formed with your upper arm and forearm.
Squeeze your chest to push the dumbbells up until your arms lock, hold for a second and return to the starting position. When your set is completed, safely return the dumbbells to the saddles (no need need to drop the dumbbells and risk injury or damage to your floor).

IronmasterUK Chest

Dumbbell Fly

Work your chest from a different angle. Get into position as above, holding dumbbells with your palms facing each other when your arms are fully extended. Slightly bend your elbows and lower your arms to the sides in a wide arc until you feel a stretch in your chest. This movements should be from the shoulder, not the arms. Squeeze the chest to return your arms to the starting position, keeping a slight bend in your arm.

IronmasterUK Deltoid

Dumbbell Shoulder Press

Hit your shoulders by positioning the Super Bench in the upright position in the Spotting Stand. Lift the dumbbells from the stand to your starting position at shoulder height and your palms facing forward. Drive the dumbbells upward, palms remaining forward, until your arms are locked. Lower the dumbbells slowly back to the starting position.

IronmasterUK Deltoid

Arnold Press

Named after Arnold Schwarzenegger who used this press variation in his shoulder training repertoire. Similar to the standard dumbbell shoulder press, but starting with the dumbbells in front of you at upper chest level, elbows bent and your palms facing your body. Raise the dumbbells to the straight arm position above your head while rotating your palms until they face forward. Pause and then lower the weights to the starting position while rotating your palms towards you.
Simply drop the Ironmaster Super Bench into the Spotting Stand special frame yoke to easily expand your home gym’s capabilities.
