Flexible weight plate options

Along with post-2011 Quick-Lock Dumbbell weight plates, you can use Standard or Olympic weight plates to the load rating of 200lbs / 90kgs. Slow down your reps, and perfect your form, and you shouldn’t need more than that for seated leg extensions and lying leg curls.

Note: Pre-2011 Quick-Lock Dumbbell weight plates may not fit due to the close tolerances on the centre holes of the plates.

Leg training is never going to be the most comfortable experience, but we don’t think your choice of kit should contribute to that. Exercises using the Leg Attachment!

IronmasterUK Quadriceps

Leg Extension

Target the quadriceps with this isolation exercise. Adjust the roller pad height so that, when you are seated upright on the Super Bench, the lower roller pad sits just above your foot on your shin. Your legs be at a 90 degree angle in the resting position, before extending your legs to the maximum while squeezing your quads. You can also do single legged leg extensions.

IronmasterUK Hamstring Group

Leg Curl

To target the hamstrings, adjust the roller pad distance so that (when lying face down, with your legs straight), your knees lay just past the first set of roller pads and the second set are just a few inches below your calves. Curl your legs to 90 degrees, focusing on your hamstrings and keeping your torso stationary. You can also do this movement with one leg at a time (unilateral leg curls).

Please note: Due to the flat height of the Super Bench, users 6ft 2” and above may have floor clearance issues. This is easily remedied by rotating the bench up a notch so it’s in a slight decline position and when using heavy weight you will just need to put a 3” block of timber under the support foot.
