Hard to believe this is the first review since the product has been around for a while. I only got this because it was recommended on a YouTube channel I watch. It's smooth and effective, doesn't take up much space and is very quick to set up when going from using the pulley system on the smith machine part of the im2000. It's very cool to have a pec deck in my home gym now.

Easy to install, operates smoothly. I have had the IM2000 for years, I wish I had purchased it sooner.

This was a great addition to an already solid setup. It really adds diversity to my chest workouts and was easy to set up. My only two suggestions would be a way to have the pulley system not have to be disconnected every time to use the peck dec vs normal setup. Additionally, I wish the pec dec could be used for reverse flys to work your back muscles but still a good piece of equipment.

FAQs: IM2000 PEC DEC

Will this fit other Ironmaster machines or benches?

No, this is designed specifically for the IM2000 Self Spotting Machine.

How much space do I need behind the IM2000?

You will need approximately 14 in / 35 cm of extra clearance behind the machine base. Total clearance from the spine tube to the wall should be 24 in / 61 cm.

What is the weight capacity?

The system is rated to 350 lb / 159 kg.

Does it include the cable needed for setup?

Yes. The included J-hook cable routes backwards for Pec Dec movements or forwards for standard lat pull-down exercises.

IM2000 PEC DEC

Isolated Chest Training

The IM2000 Pec Dec’s smooth cable resistance keeps tension on the chest through the full movement, giving you the controlled, focused contraction that dumbbell flys often struggle to replicate.

Quick Attachment System

The Pec Dec attachment is designed for fast installation so you can transition into Pec Dec exercises without slowing down your workout.

Compact Footprint

The Pec Dec attachment only needs 14 in (35 cm) of clearance behind your IM2000, a fraction of the floor space a standalone Pec Dec would need.

Updated Cable Routing

Two exercises from one cable setup. The included J-hook cable system routes backwards for Pec Dec flys or forwards for lat pull-downs, depending on which exercise you're doing.

Heavy-Duty Capacity

Rated to 350 lb (159 kg), and built to the same standard as the rest of the IM2000 system.
