Little babies. As my GF said "awww, they are so cute" but seriously I should have gotten these a long time ago. They are perfect for those small gains to get you over a plateau. I mostly use them for lateral raise progression.

Originally I bought these for my wife to use since 5 pound increments can sometimes be too much for certain exercises. I end up using them myself as well when wanting to add a little extra to a lift. Really nice quality!

I'm going to suggest this will be a hot product/accessory. I've been waiting for it since day one and I am not disappointed. Perfect compliment to my set. Only ego prevents one from adding this item; the same ego that creeps in never wanting to be seen adding a 5lb plate to an Olympic bar. But in the end we all figure out that we should leave the ego somewhere outside the gym. Buy this. Another great product from a stellar company.

FAQs: MICRO PLATE KIT

How much weight does the Micro Plate Kit add?

Each plate weighs 1.25 lb (0.57 kg). You can add 1.25 lb (0.57 kg) per side or 2.5 lb (1.1 kg) total when used on both ends.

Is this compatible with all Ironmaster equipment?

Yes, it works with Quick-Lock Dumbbells, EZ Curl Bar, Straight Bar, and the Quick-Lock Kettlebell.

Will this affect the maximum weight capacity?

Yes, the micro plates take up some locking screw space, reducing the maximum capacity by one plate.

Who is this best suited for?

Ideal for beginners, rehabilitation training, and anyone looking for gradual, controlled strength progression.

MICRO PLATE KIT

Incremental Weight Progression

Designed to bridge the gap between standard weight increases, these micro plates allow for smaller jumps than traditional 2.5 lb increments. This helps you progress consistently without hitting plateaus or overloading too quickly.

Solid Cast Iron Construction

Each plate is made from high-quality cast iron and refined through precision machining. This ensures long-term durability and a consistent fit across your equipment.

Protective Powder-Coated Finish

Finished with a black powder coating, the plates are resistant to wear, corrosion, and daily use. This keeps them looking clean while protecting the metal underneath.

Seamless Equipment Compatibility

The Micro Plate Kit integrates perfectly with your Quick-Lock Dumbbells, EZ Curl Bar, Straight Bar, and Kettlebell. You can easily mix and match without changing your setup.

Compact Design, Maximum Efficiency

Despite their small size, these plates deliver meaningful progression. They fit within the footprint of standard plates while giving you more precise control over your training load.

Please Note: Adding the micro plates reduces maximum capacity by one plate, as space is required for the locking screw.

These Micro Plates are well made ! A nice addition to my 75lb DB set. Thank you.

Honestly exactly what I needed for my Quick Lock Dumbbells. Was looking at the numerous micro plate solutions to bridge the 5# weight jump for each dumbbell.

3rd party options exist but are more expensive and don't integrate as seamlessly as this Micro plate kit. So, this was a no brainer.

These work great to go up in 2.5 lb increments. At my age, 5lbs is a little too much and these fit the bill. Fast shipping and they work great with my 45 lb dumbbells.

One of the many things I like about my Ironmaster adjustable dumbbell set is that I can increase the weight by just 2.5 lbs by adding just one 2.5 lb plate and adjusting my grip slightly for balance. But on some lifts, I really wanted to increase the weight by even less. These 1.25 lb plates allow me to do just that. I can add just one 1.25 lb plate for a micro increase or I can add both for a balanced 2.5 lb increase. I use these a LOT and they are a great addition to my set. The size is great and they work well with the other plates. If you can benefit from a smaller weight increment, these are an excellent choice!

Good thin material
The Micro Plates exceeded my expectations. They're thinner than I expected which is perfect. The quality is great. I don't see these scratching up very much. The local gym stores no longer carry micro plates and even if they did, they wouldn't come close to these.

Very good for QLDB, but not that great for the straight or EZ curl bars.
To be honest, I love these plates. They are good quality and very solid. They work fantastically with the dumbbell system. The only reason I am giving them 4 stars is their holes are too small for the straight bar and EZ curl bar. You can (and I do) **** them on to the ends of these bars and they hold, but really we shouldn't have to do this.

Amazing quality, as expected from Ironmaster. My only issue would be to add the ironmaster logo to it, especially since its on the outside. They still make the image of the dumb bell look fantastic and adds the weight as suggested. Would recommend 5/5 for anyone that owns the Ironmaster Dumb Bells.
